Golf Passes for the 2013 Season Now Available!

2013 GOLF SEASON PASS SALES INFORMATION NOW AVAILABLE FOR THE BUFFALO OLMSTED PARKS GOLF COURSES

The Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy announces that seasonal Golf passes will be available “for sale” for all 3 of the Olmsted Parks golf courses including Cazenovia Park, Delaware Park and South Park online at www.bfloparks.org – under  the golf link starting Monday, March 11^th, 2013.  Please read instructions for special requirements when purchasing online.  On Saturday, March 23 2013, BOPC golf season passes will be On Sale at all 3 golf courses.  Delaware Park has an 18-hole course located on the Parkside Avenue – Nottingham side of the Park. Cazenovia Park and South Park courses’ are 9-hole courses located in South Buffalo area.

Power golf carts will be available to rent at all three golf courses; Delaware Park, Cazenovia Park and South Park.  Locker rooms with locker availability will be available for rent at Delaware Park golf course, Parkside lodge and lockers for golf bags and misc. golf items will be for rent at the South Park golf house.

The Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy announces that seasonal golf passes are now available for sale online at www.bfloparks.org.  Golf passes will be honored at all three (3) Buffalo Olmsted Golf courses, which include Cazenovia Park, Delaware Park, and South Park.  Please read instructions for special requirements when purchasing online.  Beginning on Sunday, March 25, 2012, BOPC golf season passes will be on sale at all 3 golf courses on special sales days.  These dates for these special sales dates are detailed below:

Golf Summer Camps Available at Buffalo Olmsted Parks' Golf Courses

Steve Harber- United States Golf Teachers Federation Certified Teaching Professional

Steve Harber has 15+ years teaching experience working in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United States.  He offers a relaxing yet very effective approach to golf instruction.  Mr. Harber's specialty is group instruction although he has extensive experience teaching private lessons.

Steve will be involved with the Buffalo Olmsted Park's summer golf camps for kids and golf clinics which will rotate between Delaware park, South Park& Cazenovia Park golf courses.  Check with the individual golf houses for more information.

Where: Delaware Park & South Park Golf Courses
When: Starting July 5th through August 4th- 5 one hour sessions
Eligibility: 3 age groups available 2010, **5-7, 8-12, and 13-17.

There will be two group sizes for the 2011 season- 4 & 8 golfers per group
**5-7 ages will only be 4 per class due to safety reasons

Free Golf Clinic at Delaware Park

This Saturday, May 21st at 10:00am, Steve Harber, the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy's resident golf teaching professional, will be offering a FREE golf clinic at the Delaware Park Golf Course-Putting Green.  In this clinic, golfers will learn how to improve their long game through short game practice.  Swing mechanics will also be addressed in this clinic.

What to bring:

• Putter
• Chipping wedge (or similar club)
• Golf balls

Improvements to South Park Golf House

With golf season underway, the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy is proud to announce that the South Park golf house has recently gone through some noticeable improvements.  The men’s restroom, the women’s restroom, the locker room, the storeroom area, along with the main room have all been repaired and repainted.

Golf Courses will open this Saturday, April 30th

After a long Buffalo winter and rainy April, Buffalo’s Olmsted Parks are anxiously awaiting the beginning of the 2011 Golf Season.  This Saturday, April 30^th at 7:00am, all three Olmsted Golf Courses (Cazenovia, Delaware, and South Park) will officially open to the public. Both Cazenovia & South Park courses are 9-hole courses, while Delaware is an 18-hole course.  Prices range depending on city residency, senior & youth status, and weekday versus weekend play.  Golf Passes are currently available for purchase at the Olmsted golf houses as well as online at the conservancy website.
